The sound of birds chirping filled the air in Jaycee/Ehlert Park, but that wasn’t the only noise heard that day. The chatter of about 300 volunteers excitedly gathered in the park as everyone prepared to start a three hour period of donating their time and energy to Project NICE. Brookfield board members, children involved in nature groups, and others alike gathered together to take part in “beautifying” the neighborhood.
The morning started with donuts and fruit, with a briefing on the rules and regulations of park cleanup, as well as boundaries on where to clean. A check was also presented to the Beautification Commission from teens from Go-Green. Money was raised by them thru selling t-shirts at their schools.

 Yvonne Agnello-Adams - President This first trimester has been quite busy for us and full of learning experiences and great opportunities for every member of the chapter. I am so proud of everything the chapter has accomplished and I look forward to continuing our successes and showing our members and the residents of the Brookfield area we are truly the S.O.L.E. of the Community!
I truly believe we have all learned a lot during the first trimester and we each are better because of those learnings and, therefore, the chapter is better. Our chapter is stronger because of all of the growing we each did as individuals because, after all, strong individuals working together result in a stronger chapter.

The Brookfield Jaycees will hold a Shop & Share fundraising program on June 9, 10 and 11 at all Jewel-Osco Stores. By shopping at Jewel-Osco on one of those days, 5% of the total purchases, excluding taxes, will be donated by Jewel-Osco to the organization.
The Brookfield Jaycees will use the money generated by our Shop & Share to help offset some of our operating costs.
Anyone interested in helping the Brookfield Jaycees by shopping at Jewel-Osco on those dates will need a “Shop & Share Identification Slip”. You can obtain it by clicking here. You must bring this with you in order for your purchases to count towards our fundraiser.

& countless other worthwhile projects that positively impact the
